Eco Bus America – Week 6

Eco Bus America week 6 Eco Bus America also visited the region of Murcia. The VAN is sustainable and travels in a ‘Zero waste’ way They use social media and will make a documentary of the whole trip. These are Jorien and Guillermo from Holland and Argentina and they are traveling through Europe to raise awareness about the plastic pollution problem. live without plastic, refuse and how can we refuse and what are the alternatives for the thinks that people normally use With the VAN they already traveled a part of Europe. From Holland, through France and now we are here in Murcia. We are on the road since one month, and we will travel one month more. This trip is the try-out of a project that will develop soon in Latin-America one month of visiting schools where they teach about the plastic pollution, and how to avoid using it. When you buy something for example in your own bag or when you are in a bar and you say please without a straw. Apart from the guitar and the ukelele We are playing music. and it’s fantastic. Because for Jorien, the most important thing of the project is transmit her message it’s very beautiful to do that this way. and now they are on the way to the next destination in Spain. We are in week six of the try-out tour of Eco Bus America in Europe We closed the visit of Murcia with a invitation to give a talk in the institucion Mariano Baquero of Murcia. Thanks to José Flores we could register this visit better with some nice pictures. a few days later we received a beautiful email with the messages that the pupils wrote through our visit. arriving in Albacete we went directly to the zero waste shop. because our jars started to empty remember that you can buy from homemade pasta to very good honey In the shop they told us that there was a cultural center close by. Where we could possibly do something with our project. We went there and ten minutes later we went on stage with songs and introducing our project to the people. How nice that the spontaneity is still functioning! The day after we visit a school in the same city ‘Albacete’ a nice experience We gave two talk with two different groups and the workshop of toothpaste. The pupils where very happy making the toothpaste! The messages have been captured on the walls of the school. These are a few messages made by them Not everywhere the events we organise get filled with people and we notice we have not always enough time to promote them previously. that’s something to keep in mind and improve. In Madrid we had two events with not that much public. But inspire eight people is more than nobody! So we are happy! The program ‘Hazte Eco’ Contact us to interview us about the project and soon we will be on television again. The program puts together our story with the first supermarket without plastic of Madrid. That we visited the day after and where they interviewed Jorien for a documentary. The schools already start to contact us. Thanks to the diffusion of other schools, television and the radio! It is so nice to see that the project is truly working! One of the most frequent questions is how we take a shower during the travels. here we show you. Sometimes we use the solar shower. I clean my hair with a natural shampoo bar I shave myself with a stainless steel razor that you can use for years because you only have to change the little blades The soap I use for my body is a natural soap. I dry myself with a organic cotton towel. and some of my cloths are from sustainable brands. like this pants from ‘Mudjeans’. and those shoes from ‘Natural World’ Ready to go to the next spontaneous event in Vic, I go with a my bag made from hennep by ‘Hemper’ The Dutch owner, aloud us to do a talk with music, from one day to the other. and like some events don’t work.. Others do! Thanks to ‘Granel Vic’, ‘Vida Láctea’ and ‘La Reciclària’ The word was spread and the place got full of people interested in the project, so in the planet We see you in the next video on the way to Monaco!
